"I booked the single room, which was bijou but as I expected it to be. The main thing was it was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was so much better than the bland food that you get in chain hotels. Really tasty fresh ingredients that really set me up for the day (I didn’t eat again until 8pm!). Was surprised to find my room did not have a key to secure it when I went out for a meal though. "The hotel looked lovely but unfortunately we didn't get to stay. Turned up to find hotels.com had not passed out booking into hotel so left with nowhere to stay in remote countryside. I'd recommend the eco lodge - staff were lovely but not hotels.com -it took almost a month to get a refund only by going via my bank's anti fraud process."

"When we arrived at the Griffin, to our surprise, our reservation was canceled. Apparently, the Griffin had a water leak and were in the process of repairing the damage. They said that an email was sent to us canceling our reservations 2 days prior. We were on a cruise at the time and did not get this email because we had no service while on the cruise.
