"There was scaffolding all over the hi.otel we were in top/attic room low sloping walls felt cramped and workmen doing roof has to be done but not reflected in the price or mentioned when booking very disappointing "

" Yes there were shops nearby plenty of pubs Hotel was pet friendly at an extra cost. We booked in but had to complain about our room and straight away the receptionist found another room. It was nice and would definitely be using it agai"

"The Lansdowne was spotless, extremely comfortable Excellent breakfast, and great selection too. Of amenities in the bedroom. A very well stocked Bar, it is Very close to the town centre. A short walk to the beach, and Pier fantastic to see the Big wheel back and it all lite up with multiple colours at night. Very close to restaurants with and without entertainment. Plenty of shops and cafe to choose from. 10 stars definitely Dan Wei and all the lovely friendly staff were fantastic thank you for a wonderful stay xx"

"Our second visit to The Empire Hotel & Spa and it was as wonderful as ever! We had another lovely warm welcome and another beautiful room. Everything was perfect and made for a lovely relaxing break, swimming in the pool every day (sometimes twice!), enjoying a fabulous breakfast (the porridge is heavenly) and just everything about the place - we'll be back again next year or sooner if we can. Big thank you to all the lovely staff."

"Our room had a side view of the promenade/beach which we knew before we stayed, next time we will book earlier to obtain a room with a sea view, the room was spotless-thank you to the lady who looked after it. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. We had no cpmplaints whatsoever."

"Booking in was very easy you book in yourself it very easy to do also could have gone to reception if needed. Approached by a very friendly member of staff if we needed help, informed of breakfast times and when the bar was open till. Rooms were lovely and clean. Special touch of a bag of 2p’s to go and spend at the arcades to relive our child hood memories very lovely touch. Definitely recommend this hotel and will return. "
