Albrighton Hall Hotel and Spa, a member of Radisson Individuals
4/10 Poor
"I really wanted to like this place because it’s a nice setting, but unfortunately, the experience was marred by a very tired room that clearly hasn't seen a deep clean or maintenance in a long time.
The Room Condition
The level of neglect was honestly shocking.
• Walls & Carpets: The room is full of scuffs and what looks like possible blood splatter on the walls (see photos).
• Maintenance: Cracks in the plaster and chipped paint throughout made the space feel grimy rather than cozy.
Sleep Quality
If you’re looking for a restful night, look elsewhere.
• The Bed: I dealt with a lumpy, uncomfortable bed paired with thin, uncomfortable pillows that offered zero support.
• Noise: To make matters worse, my room backed onto the yard. There is a loud generator noise throughout the night that made it nearly impossible to sleep.
Bottom line: It's a shame because the exterior and grounds are lovely, but the interiors are in desperate need of an overhaul. I wouldn't recommend staying here until they address the hygiene and noise issues."
"Review for The Wild Pheasant Hotel & Spa – Saturday 6th May 2026
We had a wonderful stay at the Wild Pheasant Hotel & Spa on Saturday 6th May and I can’t recommend it highly enough.
From the moment we arrived, the standard of cleanliness really stood out. Our room was spotless, and the same high standard continued throughout the entire hotel – everything felt fresh, well-maintained, and beautifully presented.
The breakfast was absolutely AMAZING! The selection was excellent, everything was cooked to perfection, and the quality of the ingredients really shone through. It was one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had in a long time.
However, what really made our stay special was Mel on reception. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and looked after. Mel is the friendliest, most helpful person you could hope to meet – she was genuinely lovely to chat with and gave us brilliant recommendations of places to visit in the area. Her warmth and professionalism made a big difference to our experience. She is a real credit to the hotel and the whole team.
We left feeling relaxed, well-rested, and very well looked after. Thank you Wild Pheasant – we’ll definitely be back!
Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"
"- Food at the hotel was fantastic.
- Staff are very friendly and loved having a chat
- Outside area big and good for dogs/kids
- Big rooms and bathrooms
- Hotel is dated and rooms could do with some investment.
- People outside were very very loud but this is not the hotels fault and it was a bank holiday weekend. "
"In the room the carpet was filthy. The mattresses were too soft. The internet was poor.
The downstairs area looked very uninviting, like it had been left to rot. It was dark and depressing. There was no nice common area to sit and relax in.
The carpet on the way to the rooms looked like it hadn't been changed since the 1950s and was threadbare and dirty. The area near the landing toilets was old and smelled of sewage
The whole place needs an absolutely thorough makeover."
"Excellent location. Very friendly and helpful staff. On arrival we were met by Molly who showed us to our room. We stayed on a bank holiday weekend and the bar area was very busy, great outdoor area with Mexican bar.
We booked the double superior room (room 1) which has plenty of space. Huge four poster bed. Large en-suite with large shower. Tea/coffee/hot chocolate facilities provided in room. TV, Hair dryer, ironing board, fan also in the room. The only issue that maybe a problem is the room windows do back onto the beer garden but this didn't bother us at all.
Prices at the bar were very reasonable. Didn't have food so can't comment on that.
Check out was 11am so not to early and its just putting room key into the box before leaving (so easy)."
"What an absolutely wonderful find. We usually travel Glasgow to Pembrokeshire in a oner, 8.5+ hrs but getting too old now so the lions quay was a fantastic find. Lovely, tranquil canal walks, fab spa facilities and a comfortable pub and restaurant with exceptionally patient and polite staff. Certainly stay again."
