Every member of staff that I dealt with was SO helpful and couldn't do enough to provide a great service. The room was spacious and clean, with lovely finishing touches. The setting is really beautiful - in the middle of the countryside and fields. The breakfast that was included was absolutely delicious.

The matresses weren't great, but other than that it was a fabulous experience.

This was a true guesthouse experience. I felt like I was visiting an old friend and was treated with remarkable generosity and kindness. The house is charming and well located. My bedroom was cozy and clean and lovely in every way. Breakfast was delicious especially the fresh fruit bowl.

The Lion Inn was one of the most charming Inn's I have stayed in. The rooms are charming- you approach yours as if it is your own little cottage. Inside, they are cheerful and bright and have the latest in sleeping accommodations and amenities. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The pub is wonderful, The cuisine is delicious and contemporary, and the servers are lovely and efficient. The Inn is located near the Grade I church of St. Oswalds, -a two-minute walk away. This was an amazing treat! Four sisters coming together from all sides of the globe to have a fun countryside experience! We booked the family suite and it was perfect! From the arrival glass of bubbles to the evening meal and audio house tour - amazing! Wish we had stayed longer!

Perfect location (two minute walk to daughter's house); excellent breakfasts, particularly the porridge; fun pub downstairs, loved a cappella rehearsal.
