The Neighborhood: The apartment is located on a quiet road, a stone’s throw away from Hampstead Heath’s lush grounds and duck-peppered lakes. While we usually boast about the shops and restaurants all around you, we understand that over this time nature and greenery is of far more value right now. Walk 2 minutes to the magnificent woods of Hampstead Heath for your dose of ducks, lakes and trees. Popping in to your local butcher, fruiterer and convenience store on the way.

Please note that before your booking begins, you will need to verify your details and ID. You will also be given the choice between paying a refundable deposit or buying a non-refundable damage waiver. We suggest you buy the damage waiver as this protects you in case you cause accidental damage during a booking.
For the comfort and safety of all our guests, we do not allow any parties or gathering in our apartments. Age limit is 21 years or older to stay in any apartment (unless accompanied by parent/s) Please be respectful of neighbours and keep noise to a minimum. Quiet hours are 20pm-8am.
Interaction with Guests: I usually love to meet all my guests in person, but over this unprecedented time I will not be able to meet you in person. there is a manual in the flat to answer all your questions, alternatively I am available on my mobile throughout your stay, to answer any of your questions or just to connect with to hear a friendly voice, during this strange time of isolation.

We loved the location as the property was close to the shopping area, trains and the Heath.
The apartment was very clean and modern.
Would have liked a page or booklet on how to use a lot of the appliances as we were not familiar with some of them.

Staying for about a week at The English Gentleman in Hampstead was truly a joy for all of us. The property basically had everything we needed and the location was excellent. it was close to all sort of amenities, and most of all, not too far from Highgate, where my mother-in-law resides. We certainly consider staying at this property in our upcoming trips to London. Michael, the property manager, was more than helpful and very responsive.
Beautiful flat in ideal Hampstead location for family stay
Very well kitted out flat, very clean, in great location. Communications with the property manager were vexing at times, and could put us off from re-booking. We book through VRBO quite regularly and never experienced this level of disorganisation, and poor co-ordination.
We had an excellent stay in this very clean and contemporary property only steps from the beautiful Hampstead Heath! We very much enjoyed our hikes in the park on the many trails available, as well as frequent visits to Hampstead Village with great pubs, restaurants and stores, all within easy walking distance. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit.
This is a beautiful property with a stylish, modern interior within easy walking distance to Hampstead tube station as well as Hampstead Heath. The host was extremely responsive and helpful. Check in was very easy and we truly enjoyed our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in The English Gentleman. The apartment was very clean and classy. It had everything we needed. And the location is perfect, especially for our kids. It is right by Hampstead Heath, plenty of room to run around and play. Our host Megan was excellent. She clearly cares and strived to make our stay comfortable, going as far as providing groceries upon our arrival (which was essential after our late night arrival from Los Angeles) We would definitely book again!
Property was as advertised and very comfortable for a family. Great communication with the manager and clear directions in terms of access and amenities. Manager was available to answer any questions or concerns. Would definitely stay here again.
The property is exactly as advertised - super clean with modern fixtures. The hosts were very communicative and super helpful with any questions (none too small or large). If you are looking for a peaceful stay close to the Hampstead Heath and to the High Street and transport look no further. Thanks again to my guest M&M.
Overall, a very lovely stay in Hampstead. The flat is quite nice - a 5-star space. We gave a 4-star review for a few simple and easily fixed reasons: when we arrived, there were cleaning items left out, wash was still in the laundry, and the check-in process was a bit wonky. Everything except the check-in could easily be overlooked - just making mention. Megan, the property manager was very responsive so nothing was a terribly big deal. As for the check-in, just know that a separate 3rd party will contact you for personal information related to the stay - but this isn't made clear in any of the listing details (so just be aware - it's not a scam!). Getting in to the flat could also be better explained because it isn't clear WHICH flat is the rental flat and the key cupboard is also a bit confusing. Again, none of this is a very big deal, just something small that could be easily improved. The flat was an open, uncluttered, and lovely modern space so high marks there. It was comfortable if you really wanted to hang back and relax as well as nice to come back to after a busy day. Know that this flat is the below-street space BUT you also have a private outdoor space - a very nice patio - with floor-to-ceiling windows from the LR so it doesn't feel like a cave. The kitchen is very well equipped - personally, I would've liked a teapot - electric or otherwise (there's a hot/cold water filter at the kitchen sink) but, again, just a personal preference. Location is GREAT - just around the corner from the Heath and only a short walk in either direction to the commercial areas which have lots of shops, restaurants, Tube stop, shopping. If you want a different kind of London experience - rather than staying in the heart of the city - Hampstead is a great option because it's still fun and interesting but it's a village vibe and you know you're definitely outside of the city. Excellent and met all expectation as we knew the area from previous visits. Everything we needed was available. The very modern kitchen appliances were a little daunting to get going but once we understood them worked well. Would do it again if possible.
