"Great location and property. It has its own parking lot (25 dollars charged per day) and great breakfast buffet. The hotel was affordable and really good. The servers and staff were very friendly."

The Melrose Georgetown Hotel

"The Melrose hotel was a mixture of wonderful and could be better. The wonderful part was its location on the end of Georgetown, close to the Lincoln Memorial and the national mall. It is a historic and boutique Hotel. We had a nice room on the seventh floor. The setup of the room was awesome. We loved the safe and mini fridge in the room. We loved the furniture. The king bed was comfortable. Excellent coffee and tea service they had out every morning in the lobby from 7 to 11 AM. They hotel had a bar, but it’s hours were so unusual and services so limited, we never utilized it. However, there was a wonderful small grocery store two doors down where you could get a lot of of the basic needs and fruit and pastries for breakfast. They also had breakfast and lunch sandwiches that were excellent. Also a block and a half away was a Trader Joe’s, which was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were in Washington DC during record heat for our entire trip. It was frustrating that the hotel did not have ice machines on each floor and did not have ice buckets in the room. You could get a small bag of ice from the front desk that would melt within a matter of minutes once you got it back to your room. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Our room 726 was awesome, but just no view. Staff was happy and great."

"Great cleaning staff! Loved the location. And the restaurant was wonderful as well. Be aware of the parking fee per night, $45 and $8 processing fee. We only parked two nights but was charged for four nights. Called to correct the charges and was told that a manager would be calling back. No call, so I called again. Finally spoke with a manager and have received our credit back. Great hotel overall, but just don't use the "Self parking.""
