"I have always had a nice room with a bath and a sea view. The pool, sauna, entertainment and lounges are a great bonus. The room was clean, staff are always friendly"

"The room was really lovely 4*. It was quiet, overlooked lovely gardens. Great size and nicely laid out. But coming into hotel reception was dark and smelt of stale beer....we actually thought of leaving. Staff not very friendly or welcoming, apart from one person in breakfast room who was very helpful...Leo. Food and breakfast were all good. We didn't use swimming pool as it didn't look great and had read several poor reviews. But location was brilliant. Short walk into a lovely high street and along the canal. So room 4* staff and reception area are just about 3* I was surprised how dark it is inside as it is right on sea front but there were no lounges, dining areas over looking the sea. Sea front and walks were stunning. Parking was great. Room was clean but not spotless. And we had a tricky encounter with staff when we asked for clean cups for our room! Overall quite a pleasant stay, positives just about out weighed the negatives"

"The reviews say that this is a horrible place—the dirtiest, most uncomfortable, worst, and smelliest. This is the first time in my life that I stayed in such a dirty hotel for a night. The cleaning was zero. They had promised that breakfast was included, but there was nothing to eat for breakfast. So, my whole effort is to ensure that no one goes there—avoid it. If someone really wants a bad experience, then go ahead."

"Sea view was perfect! Stunning views, great location, comfortable apartment and very funky furniture too. Would absolutely stay here again. Also loved Folkestone and explored the area a lot with walks, beach sauna, live music at the harbour arm, and the lovely silver screen cinema. Fabulous!"
