"The view from my accommodation and also that of my family members in the two next door was way better than the picture - literally 'tree tops' - looking across the Kent countryside through mature trees. The terrace was perfect for sitting out. The rooms were modern and really lovely, air conditioned, well equipped and with a sliding Japanese style door for privacy when the kids were in bed. The reserve was so peaceful"

"Nice room in a separate building to the restaurant. The room and bathroom were small but clean and comfortable. We arrived on a Sunday and I purposely booked this hotel as it said the restaurant was open on a Sunday evening on their website, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case so we ended up in a nice Italian instead. We were leaving early in the morning and breakfast didn’t start until 9.30, but the hotel did leave a lovely little breakfast hamper for us outside our room which was nice."

"The room we had was nicely decorated with a lovely comfortable big bed and a wonderful seaview. Check in was easy and we were able to buy a parking permit. (As it was a weekend it was initially quite difficult to find a parking space - this was the only drawback) All the staff were polite and friendly particularly the lovely waitress who served us in the restaurant. Good buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. All in all a great experience and would certainly visit again."

"Staff are extremely friendly and efficient always helpful if you have a problem. We booked a cosy room which is clean and has all you need for a night’s stay. Breakfast is buffet and there are also freshly cooked choices too included with your breakfast package. I had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on sourdough bread - eggs cooked just how I like them! Staff were very attentive making sure you had tea and coffee not long after you sat down and taking any orders. The same can be said for the staff in the bar when we had tea and scones early afternoon and also again late evening with a cocktail. The only downside of this hotel is the parking. There are 12 dedicated spaces in front of the hotel which are filled very early by 11am according to the staff! The rest is paid for parking permits but there is no guarantee you will get a space. Last year when we stayed at the hotel, one road on the side of the hotel was still free of permits but this year this road has also been allocated permit parking. This is obviously not the hotel’s fault but does make it more difficult to find a space and of course there is the additional cost. But despite that we had a great stay."

"I need to be honest, the cute quirky vibe is nice but it definitely needs some money spent on it. The bedrooms are lovely, great nights sleep but there’s not one comfortable seat in the house. Also the bathroom is dark and has a horror story vibe. The worst thing is the overwhelming musty smell just as you enter the house. I’d recommend some air fresheners to help mask the old house scent. Location is good for the lovely areas Folkestone offers - good for a couple of nights."

"The View at Shoreline is an abselutely luxurious holiday experience. Beautiful location on the beach with the most gorgous view. The house has a modern interior and really lovely decorated. Well equipped with all facilities. We needed some days to relax, and this place was perfect for a calm and slowpaced holiday break. Several beautiful places for walking. The bars and restaurants at the harbour is close and really nice. We can really recommend this place and would love to come back! We came all the way from Norway to visit, we now have about 100 pictures of this stunning place by the sea :)"
