"We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and the room was comfortable. A few things to note, though: - the hotel is a good 15m walk from the walls of Lucca, so you need to plan your days as it’s not easy to pop back during the day, especially in the heat of August. Bike hire is extra - 35 euro a day. - the pool is lovely - comfortable and a lovely space to relax. However, it’s only open from 10am - 7pm which was a shame as it’s not possible...

"The accommodation was well presented great location and provided easy access to all the attractions equally distanced between the station and the main Tower square. If we had any suggestions to improve on the facilities we would suggest a long/full length mirror and coffee pods to use in the coffee machine provided. As we only stayed 2 nights it wasn’t worth buying pods in bulk to make use of the machine. "

"A family-friendly place to stay: The "double quadruple" room had 4 twin beds, two of which were licated in a kind of loft; the room was supplied with kids' games and toys. Fabulous breakfast. The receptionist was extremely helpful in finding information and making recommendations for us during a train strike that (pardon the pun) derailed our plans. The location, between the old city walls and the train station, was convenient and surprisingly quiet. Things were pretty basic in the room. Decor was haphazard and the closet space pretty tight. No iron or ironing board. Teeny shower. But we were not there for the amenities, and the staff was terrific. "
