"Lovely little cottage in a very nice small town. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.Although no parking is available outside the front of the cottage, we had no problem parking in the road outside under the bridge as suggested. We enjoyed the walks along the Humber with the path starting right behind the cottage. "The cottage was gorgeous, in a lovely quiet location and parking at the back. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. We only stayed a night but it had almost everything you'd need for a stay. A bit of soap in the bathroom and teatowel/towel and washing up liquid in the kitchen with some milk for a cuppa when you arrive would have made it perfect. The bedding and towels were lovely and soft and smelt nice and the bed was very comfy. It was close to Hornsea and a large Tesco. I would...

"Room was lovely, everything clean. Our room went out onto the garden at the back near the bar area which felt like you were in a little secret garden. Even though close to the bar there was no noise and everyone was very respectful. It has a lovely atmosphere here. Staff were all really lovely and very helpful couldn’t fault this place at all. Really good area just a short 30 minute walk into the centre."

"I was in room 10 which was very nice but it was next to the kitchen so you could hear the extractor up until about 8 pm also you couldn’t have your widow open during this time. The rest of my stay was perfect, breakfast choice and quality very good ,evening meal very good, staff excellent and ample parking. Outside at the rear was a lovely large garden with plenty of seating for drinks. This was my second visit this year and I would definitely stay here again."

"This hotel was in a great location for walking to all of the central sights in York. It also had lovely and helpful staff. A great family room, clean and also provided with tea/coffee and water. We liked the fact that the room had a fridge. The swimming pool was nice and clean. The children's play area was a nice touch and the bar area was very stylish. Overall a really great stay and we will definitely return to this hotel again."

"Hotel and staff were very friendly and some went the extra mile to make everything top class, including lots of tongue in cheek banter ! The only drawback was at breakfast as it was difficult to move between equipped stations (must have just hit at high peak time) so some of the hot food weren’t replenished quick enough, but the staff were soon on it. Very close to the centre and choice of close by car parks also reasonably priced. Would definitely go back and stay"
