The furniture was very comfortable and the house was set up well with anything you may need. My vacation was definitely worth the trip of almost 8 hours. "

"If you’re looking for peace and quiet and glorious views across Lubec Bay to Campobello and the open ocean, Lubec Bay Cottage is the perfect retreat. The cottage is clean and welcoming. It feels spacious and has plenty of indoor and outdoor areas to sit and soak up the scenery. It’s extremely well-provisioned with everything, from the usual essentials, to waterproofs and rubber boots, to Kleenex. The beds are very comfortable, although a little high if you're short! There's a walk-in shower on the ground floor.The cottage is conveniently located just a few minutes’ drive from West Quoddy State Park, Lubec village, and Campobello Island. The area is excellent for hiking, with many trailheads just a short drive away. If you're looking for a change of scenery, Eastport is about a 50 minute drive.The WIFI was on the slow side, but was completely reliable for the duration of our stay and had no trouble connecting a mid-morning Zoom call. We didn’t miss cable TV – the DVD selection was more than varied enough to keep us happy.Catherine is an excellent host, responding quickly to questions and providing an extremely thorough travel/welcome letter. Unlike some hosts, after a call shortly after arrival to make sure everything’s OK, she leaves you in peace to enjoy your vacation. We’ve stayed in Lubec several times before, and Lubec Bay Cottage is the nicest place we’ve stayed by far. We’d be likely to return if it’s available next time we visit."
