"I really enjoyed this property. Very nice room with a view. The room was bigger than a typical hotel room. The beds were very comfortable. Staff was great, breakfast was good. When we arrived our first evening there, the hotel was making s’mores by campfire down by the lake. So we tossed our stuff in our room and made our way down. This was the perfect ending to our day. I sat around the campfire while the kids ran around (much needed after our 8 hour road trip!). We spent two nights here. We took a shuttle to the ferry the next morning to go over to Mackinac Island. This is a great hotel conveniently located for just that!"

"We found the staff very helpful. I would rate it a 5-star. At breakfast there were many good selections: two-3 egg choices, biscuits & gravy, turkey sausages or paties, bacon or sausage patties, fresh fruit, waffles, and yogurt. Evening time many were in the indoor pool or whirlpool while others sat around the outdoor fire pits. Sand volleyball was available too. One area of disapointment was our patio room was not vacuumed daily during our 3-night stay. Sand in the carpet remained by the patio sliding glass doors. Another was a small (8-9 stairs) fight of steep stairs down to our patio room, difficult to negotiate with luggage."
