We really enjoyed the different types of gift shops and restaurants. Everyone was very friendly. We definitely had a great time in Mackinaw city as well as on Mackinac Island. I would definitely recommend as a vacation destination.

Went to Colonial Christmas at the fort, the lighted Christmas parade and tree lighting, and the hot cocoa crawl on this weekend stay. All worth my time and would do again.

We love Mackinac! That being said, it is dead in the off season. Limited shopping and dining. If you are up for those things, you will be out of luck.

Just be aware there are limited options for dining during the off season and most shops are closed as well.

Tourist destination. Lots of amenities within walking distance. Mackinac Island is the main attraction, but I would only recommend for families with older children. It's very busy in the summer.

Definitely went off season. Would have been helpful knowing that if you google a business it would've been closed.
"We had a great stay here. The rooms were clean and nice, though there was a strong perfume scent. The pool and hot tub were nice. Breakfast was great. The bonfires with s'mores supplies provided were awesome. The only thing is that the beach is not swimmable and there is no beach where you can walk to the water. There's huge boulders that separate the upper part and lower part of the beach, but the part by the water is mucky and muddy and not crossable. Otherwise, great stay. Would stay again. "
"I realized I missed booking a room for one night of our trip and was able to get on hotels.com and find and book a room very quickly. We have stayed at this location before and we’re happy again."
"Loved all the staff we met from front desk to cleaning staff. Very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is served on the third floor and you can't take food back to your room but it is a very large dining room that accomodates many. Room was very comfortable. Lots of dead bugs on the balcony but I suppose that's normal. Absolutely loved the view of the beach!"
"The stay was good the staff great the check in and check out process was easy , clean quiet we had a beach view suite was great, they offer breakfast it was okay to start the day with , and the kids enjoyed the pool. overall great experience will definitely go back , "
"This was our first visit to Michigan! While we only stayed here one night it was nice. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the fire pits outside! My son enjoyed the pool and I enjoyed our view of the beautiful sunrise the next morning! It is right off the lake which was a gorgeous setting. Close to Mackinac, but just outside the hustle and bustle. Easy to get to and parking was ample. No elevator, so be prepared to take carry your items to the 2nd floor. The staff was great and very accommodating! Our room was one of the renovated ones on the 2nd floor and we loved it. They did a really great job on it. The mayflies were awful though if you left the porch light on next to your door ... so we just kept ours off (just slightly unscrewed the light bulb). Stayed here June 13-14."
