"The room was very clean and was restocked every day with clean towels. The language was a problem but I expected that. We used our apps to communicate. The area is fabulous! Close to the subway which is really easy to use. And lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. The only complaint I had was the people in the room above me were very noisy and heavy walkers and kept me awake half the night. Slamming doors on my floor too. I would stay there again though!"

"River House was ideal for our family of four from Melbourne, Australia to stay for our first trip to Shanghai, and we would stay there again. What we found most helpful was: - very centrally located in a clean, safe, modern and interesting neighborhood. Highlights here were the views and the evening walks along the beautiful river boulevard with some nice bars and sites. Highly recommend visiting Fotografiska in the evening (Jazz on Wednesday nights). - having two rooms, three beds, a washing machine and dryer and a large bathroom was a perfect base after long days of walking. The bottled water and towels were replenished, and trash removed, daily. - Vivien, Simon and their colleagues were very friendly, helpful and flexible. We weren’t able to pay our full invoice in one go and they let us pay in daily instalments. - There is a small shop downstairs that’s open late and has everything you need. - There is a cute bar for your evening drinks, with some local cats to pet, which our kids loved."
