"Lovely hotel, in great condition with really nice and helpful staff on reception. Breakfast seemed good but somethings were lost in translation - I ordered an omelette but never got it. My wife ordered an Americano but got a cold coffee. We dont have any complaints however. €20 taxi trip to Ortigia though, which is expensive - and you have to visit Ortigia."

"The Ortigia Charme Hotel is a well located hotel on the eastern coast of Ortigia island. Being situated at almost the mid point of the island it is perfectly situated for a leisurely exploration of the area. It looks like a small hotel from the outside but I think it has rooms in adjacent buildings. The staff are very friendly and cheerful at all times of the day. The breakfast is excellent with no problem ordering items not specifically listed on the menu. My only quibble is that the solid floors transmit noise from the room above. "

"We loved the Villa Politi, a grand hotel with a very interesting history. The guest areas are spacious and the pool beautiful. The only concern we had, the dinner service was a little slow due to large tour groups dining, the staff were under pressure. We would have also appreciated tea/coffee making facilities in our room. We would definitely stay there again. "

"Beautiful hotel right on the waterfront with parking (paid) just in front. Excellent service and breakfasts. Room elegant with high ceilings but would benefit from air conditioning for the summer months. Easy walking to seafront and around Ortigia. "
