Avani Frankfurt City Hotel

"Fantastic hotel! We were flying out of Frankfurt after a 2 week tour of Germany so I wanted a couple of days there to check out the city (shopping) and this was the perfect location. The hotel is modern (the decor a little too out there for my taste, 90's Vegas neon flashing lights and blasting music but it was fine). For the first time our entire trip we were put in a room far from the elevator so was quiet (well besides construction outside but that wasn't the hotel's fault). Everything was walkable with tons of shopping and restaurants nearby. The room was spacious with great amenities like bathrobes/slippers, coffee pod machine, and a bar fridge which was great. The breakfast was fantastic, one of the best ones our entire 2 week trip which even included made to order eggs/omelettes, a huge selection of loose leaf teas and they even had vegan items. You know its a good hotel when you see cruise ships using it as well as local airlines for their flight staff! Only negative is there was a very foul odour coming from the drain in the bathroom that gave a funky smell to the room otherwise it was perfect. I can't comment on parking, we decided to return our car early so we could just walk as we didn't want to deal with a car downtown plus they had very high parking rates. All in all I would definitely stay here again!"

"Great location, walking distance to sightseeing areas. Restaurant nearby. Next to JW Marriott and the shopping mall. The place is clean, modern and boutique style. Friendly atmosphere. They have a locker in the lobby where you can leave and lock your luggage for free and access it whenever you want, which is helpful when you check out and if your flight or departure is not until late, so that’s a plus."

"Area is close to train station so area is not as much german but still seemed safe. If exiting parking Garage know to pull cord in middle of garage to exit."

"Better navigate to your destinations carefully, toward Frankfurt Hbf, some streets and alleys are not pleasant. The Old Town excursion should be throughly mapped out before going. Otherewise you unintentionally end up going through some unpleasant experiences."
