"We were on the third floor, and there is no elevator, so it took a while to get our stuff upstairs. I have some hip and balance problems, so it was difficult to get into the shower (a raised tub with no handrails). Also, the shower did not have a place to put the soap or shampoo or conditioner provided, so I took advantage of my wife to be the "soap dish"."

"The room was excellent, temp control worked great, great shower. The pool water was overly warm however, and the advertised free breakfast was almost non-existent - no coffee either!!! We were told the food supplier did not show up that day. Luckily there was a drive-thru coffee shop a few blocks away. "

"The staff were very friendly and the breakfast fresh. We were given Room 101. The shower stall in the room had a cracked bottom that was patched up with a piece of fiberglass fabric which was grayish, rough to the touch, and grimy. The toilet seat was wobbly. The bathroom, however, was well cleaned. Looks like the staff has done their best maintaining the place, but management needs to keep up with repair and replacement of broken items."

"Retro looking motel on the Manistee river. Simple but clean. Comfortable beds, larger refrigerator than most hotels, plenty of storage space in dresser and under the beds. Glider chairs and picnic table facing the river for nice view of the sunset. Close to downtown and Lake Michigan. "
