"The hotel was great! Everything was clean and fresh looking. The pool and hot tub was refreshing and kept at a nice warm temp. The hotel staff all went out of thier way to make our stay a wonderful experience. Great views of the lake and the beach was clean and we loved walking there in the morning- We didnt use the exercise room but it had all the equipment i would have needed. Overall one of the best stays we have had at any hotel. Would highly recommend staying there and exploring Traverse City & the area."

"We went on a weekday just overnight. While they don’t allow you entrance to the water park until check-in, they do allow you to use their pools early. Overall it was wonderful. The charming village and restaurants. The lodge. The water park and pools. The arcade and activities. Something to experience at least once in your life for sure. Felt like you were in a hallmark movie. "

"The check in process, alert and bell service were top notch! The room was something that could use work! We had no Kleenex upon arrival , the floors were dirty as was our desk and chair! Cleanliness is what people remember and unfortunately that it what tarnished our stay! "

"My husband and I stayed at the Atheneum 2 nights for a concert and had a nice stay. The hotel staff were very nice and accommodating. We shuttled everywhere with the complimentary shuttle which was a great service. Our room was spacious and comfortable bed, with a nice desk for the little bit of work I needed to do. Loved having the Atheneum as our landing spot in Detroit. "

"Yes, the room was terrific. Spotless with great light (5 windows with sunrise over Canada. Lobby, is odd and large, didn't eat in the restaurant, but in a good spot for the river and getting to other things in the city. Good price point too. Do stay on the river side!"
