River Inn at Seaside

"This was our second stay here this year. After our first visit in May, we gave a resounding five star review. Our family chose to return to celebrate a birthday and booked two rooms and a suite. After a busy summer season, the property seems to be in need of some maintenance. That’s why we gave four stars this time. Our thermostat in our suite was not working in the sleeping room. It kept turning on and off throughout the night. The thermostat had an ERR symbol every time we checked it. We repeatedly tried to just turn it off for the night and it would automatically start and turn off after 30 seconds, over and over, the entire night. We reported it to the front desk (who was very nice) but a manager was not on duty during the weekend. We messaged the property and have never received a reply. The pool and hot tub walls and floors turned brown since our last visit. While the birthday girl planned for swimming, no one in our group wanted to use the pool. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. The firepits are nice and we appreciate being able to bring our pups here. We enjoyed our visit to Seaside, including shopping and restaurants. And, we’d liked to have rested better and used the amenities."

"What an amazing place! It exceeded my expectations as a dog-friendly hotel, not to mention being close to the ocean and shops! VERY clean, updated place. The friendly staff provided a little goody bag of dog treats for my dogs. Loved it!!"
