"Highly recommend staying here while visiting Machu Picchu! The room we stayed in was very comfortable & very nice considering we are in Peru. Had a nice balcony with a view of the river & street leading to Machu Picchu. The breakfast was offering a variety of fruits, breads, ham & cheese, juices, eggs made to order, cereals & coffee. This isn’t the US so do not expect a US continental breakfast. This type of breakfast is typical for hotels out of the US. The staff was extremely nice & helpful! Helped us find a tour guide for Machu Picchu. The hotel is a ~5 min distance away from the main strip of Aguas Calientes, but at least it was quiet. We recommend & would stay again :) thank you! "

"A solid option if you have to spend a night or two in aguas calientes. Comfortable beds and a very helpful and welcoming staff. Unfortunately my room had a habit of locking itself and i then had to go to the front desk to get them to unlock it. The bathroom inside the room did the same thing so I was unable to use the restroom during the night. The noise from the train can be loud to some but quiets down during the night (and is somewhat unavoidable). The staff were so helpful though and let me relax in the upper patio after checking out and even hang clothes to dry up there too. "

"Great place to splurge for a night. We ended up having an "all inclusive" experience. (Food and drink.) Which helped make it feel more "worth it". At the end of the day it is a lot of money for one night, and I bet you could do pretty well in Aguas Calientes for a fraction of the cost and the only real difference is you've gotta take a 20 min bus ride up to Machu Picchu. All that said, the hotel is nice, the staff were wonderful and it was comfortable and clean. It's really up to the individual as to whether or not it's "worth it." "

"Loved our stay at Susanna Inn. The breakfast is delicious. The staff are very friendly. Highly recommend getting a mountain facing room. The sound of the river is so soothing at night plus our room was able to get quite cool opening the window. The only nitpicky thing to point out is the trash can in the bathroom is a regular basket with no lid. Since toilets in Peru do not accept paper, it'd be preferable to have a lid. "

"Tierra viva was probably my favorite hotel in our 12 night honeymoon- i cant recommend it enough. Book room 504 (junior suite), trust me! It has a large balcony overlooking the urabamba river, with a view both up and down the river. Staff met us at the train station, which i didnt expect, but allowed us to ditch our bags and get to our tour on time. Staff also drew maps for me, gave us drinks and let us check out late. They also have a filtered water bottle filler in th lobby, the only one ive seen in peru- this saves a lot of headache managing water. "

"Great one night stay with River view and a nice balcony. Bed was comfy and clean. Shower pressure is great. You can walk to everything! Breakfast is fine, good bang for your buck. I would definitely stay again for this river view. "
