"Lovely hotel in a good location. Beds and pillows really comfy. Staff welcoming and friendly. Car park was full so used racecourse carpark. Not far to walk and only £10 per night.(Hotel is £20). Didnt have any meals in hotel so cant comment on food.Had a lovely 2 night stay."

"Breakfast was great although the morning after there had been an event on it was very busy and almost too many people in at one time. Room was lovely but not very soundproof through the door, we could hear every door slam. The size of the room was great especially for a family with a sofa bed. Food from the bar was very convenient and tasted good too."

"Located convenientlly for Chester city centre, close to the Eastgate wall. Not too far from either the railway station or bus terminal if travelling by public transport. Stayed over bank holiday weekend for a wedding at the Town Hall with the reception away from the city. If have large or heavy luggage, there are some steps into the hotel. I offered to assist one guest who was leaving whilst I was waiting to check in. Property could do with some care & attention with flacking paint. The shelf above the room toilet had marks/peeled paint. Didn’t look like the room windows had been cleaned for a while, & anyway are closed shut. Did not use the catering facilities."
