"The cottage is fine and it is in a nice location BUT the details of the cottage listed on the Expedia website and Sykes Cottages are different and misleading. Expedia shows the cottage to be within the Penzance city centre & 8 minute walk from the ferry terminal. The cottage is 8 miles (13 kms.) from the Penzance city centre. Kevin and Michelle have thought of everything and were excellent with communicating details for directions and check in/out times. "Single room, two night stay. Room was comfortable, good bathroom with plenty of hot water. Floors were a bit creaky though! Excellent buffet breakfast - cereals, yoghurt, fruit and cooked breakfast. I also ate in the restaurant one night, and the food was largely good, though not impressed with the chips. Well located - not in the heart of Penzance but close enough to be accessible. Staff all very friendly and helpful."

When we got there, we found that we had been booked into a very small room, but upon talking to the receptionist, she booked us in a much nicer room for a very modest up charge. Breakfast was very good and included both hot and cold options for the same price."

"A brilliant cosy home like hotel with a lovely well comfortable room. The door entrance system was explained at check in and was easy to navigate. Highly recommend staying here for anyone wanting to access the local area. It’s also a gentle walk from the hotel along the beach front into the town. Staff were very friendly and welcoming."

"We were very pleasantly surprised by our stay in Penzance, the tavern staff made us feel welcome for the night we were staying, during dinner and at breakfast. We had a huge room and great view of the harbour, with the morning sun bursting through the window. Of course, the amazing weather made a big difference We were aware parking might be an issue, so were prepared for a bit of a struggle to find a space, but we knew that before we arrived! I hope we can make it back down to Cornwall again soon because we will definitely be aiming to stay here again."
