"This was an amazing stay recommended by a friend and we really loved this place. The only immediate issues were the A/C broke and the TV was hard to setup, and the toilet seat was cracked and broke when I sat on it. But they fixed all that on day 1 and we had an amazing time - staff was amazing, grounds, parking, quiet, romantic, everything. The restaurant was amazing wine cellar. The food a little exotic so if you want more basic - then head over to Cortona with a car 15 min drive up the hill. Best part of trip was having a car. The people amazing, Daniel, Enrico, and cant remember everyone - everyone was amazing."

"Our time here was excellent. The room was large, and had everything we needed. Location couldn't be better. They offered a light breakfast in the morning which was nice. It is right near the San Francesco, so very convenient to get to from the bus stop."

"Stayed at La Serena for three weeks in September with friends and family to celebrate turning 70. The villa was very spacious and well equipped with furnishings and kitchen equipment. The pool was nice and it was kept clean and well maintained. One unexpected thing was finding out only four of the seven bedrooms have AC. It was very hot when we arrived in late August so this was less than ideal for some of my friends but there were fans in these non AC rooms and it did cool off somewhat at night, so opening the windows helped. A cool front came through during our second week there, which helped a lot. The highlight of our stay was being in close proximity to Castello Monticelli. We had several group dinners there and did a cooking class there also and had a great experience every time. We were embraced like family there and they made a special birthday dinner for me and our group. The location was central enough for us to cover a lot of ground in Umbria and Tuscany but a car is essential for getting around in that area. Gunter was easy to work with and very responsive. There were groceries and wine for us when we arrived at the villa the first night, which was greatly appreciated. Would love to come back some day to La Serena and Castello Monticelli!"
