"A mixed experience at this hotel. Essentially it was a great hotel... but someone seems to have stopped spending any money on maintaining it a while back. On arrival we happened to see a small sign informing us we had to pay for parking - only £3 but the stay started with a negative! The air conditioning didn't work and when we asked about it we were told it wasn't supported any more. The room was stifflingly hot and the windows 'for our safety' didn't open very far. "Plenty of safe free parking. Very good receptionist to check in. Very clean, well appointed room with very comfortable bed. Good breakfast, cooked to order. This is a family run hotel and they all try very hard to provide excellent service."
