"This is a house on a residential street offering rooms for rent. I arrived at the property and called the number on the front door. The respondent was not very customer friendly and had me waiting around for 3 hours. I was finally given a key but no code to lock the room until I called again the next day. The property itself is pretty run down, has very thin walls, has a lingering smell of food in the air and has no daily cleaning service. I would only recommend if you desperately need a room...

"We spent 2 nights at this property. The location is less than 10 min walk from the Elizabeth line, which makes it really convenient. Room was clean and staff was very accommodating too. Definitely recommended."

"We had a lovely stay at Little Barham that we were staying at for a family party and trip to Colchester Zoo. It was a super comfortable bed, lovely setup with the zed bed for our son, lovely tea/coffee facilities and fantastic bathroom. The breakfast was amazing with eggs from the chickens laid that morning. They’re such a lovely couple running it and they went out of their way to accommodate our needs which we are hugely grateful for. "

"Just needed a quiet place to rest for a night after a busy day at a sports event in Tottenham. Bay Tree House was the perfect haven, with lovely views over Arnos Park. The hosts were welcoming and warm, and the breakfast was more than expected - freshly cooked and plenty of items to choose from. We drove, but the house is near a tube station for convenient access into London locations. Would definitely stay here again."

"Overall it was ok for one night but regarding the room condition nothing changed as per the last reviews. I was given a double bed room but actually it was two single beds and there was a big crack in the middle of the two single mattresses, I couldn't sleep whole night due to this, whole next day my back was hurting. Don't forget to lift the mattresses and you will be surprised to find that the bed base frame is actually broken and there were couple of wooden planks been put there to support...

"Firstly, we had two properties cancell on us, both booked thru VRBO, so I'll never use them again! Secondly, this particular property cancelled on us at 11.13 am on the day of our stay! We were already in London, having travelled down from Preston to see Guns N Roses. The cancellation left three of us knee deep in the mire, and completely wrecked our weekend. "We stayed one night in order to visit Talliston House in Great Dunmow. We had a wonderful stay. The room was lovely and warm, cosy and had everything we needed. We appreciated the milk, beverages and cookies. Everything was clean, the beds were lovely and it was a very quiet area. The gardens looked lovely, but weather did not allow us to fully explore. The cooked breakfast was a lovely start to the day. Faultless stay. "

"This veue showed rooms which did not resemble the one my wife and I had. The toilet bowl was manky, the shower hose leaked almost as much water as came out of the shower head. The shower cubicle itself looked unclean and was surrounded with mould. The pop-up plug in the sink had long since been broken and so would not stay in place to allow the sink to be filled. Not that had the plug remained inplace, would have made much difference since a large hole had been punched into the plug, probably by...

"Lovely hotel no complaints apart from the fact it would have been nice to have communication that a football match was on. We couldn’t get to the hotel post code due to road closures. Very disappointing. "
