The White Star Tavern
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed at the White Star Tavern the night before a cruise. I chose this hotel because we prefer places that are unique and not part of a chain of hotels. We were not disappointed! The check in process was smooth and we were asked what time we would like a cab take us to the cruise port. That was a pleasant surprise. Our room was small"
"Beautiful harbour-side hotel with lovely views. Excellent spa.
My only niggle is that the architect over-complicated the lighting system. Our room had 9 light switches (excluding the one for the bathroom) and it was impossible for us to turn off the dimmed light in the entrance hall area - no matter what switch combo we tried. My son and his gf had the same issue in their room. "
"Great experience staying here. The staff were so nice and helpful. The room was very comfortable. There’s a small store nearby for some necessities, and more extensive shopping is just a 15-minute walk mostly through a park. We ate at least one meal there each day, and the food was very good. All in all, a very nice place. We would definitely stay there again."
"It was July and there is no AC, seriously uncomfortable. But, besides that everything was good. Close to the port if you're going on a cruise. Lots of restaurants within walking distance and a large mall. "
