"Great overnight stay and free breaky (Sundays) was a bonus. Lovely staff. The heaters are some what noisy but not enough to keep you up at night and they heated the rooms well. Very convenient location "

"Place is excellent, thou rooms etc are not as clean as could be. It is very British and overall the vibe is groovy."

"While I knew this was a very cheap option, my stay would have been a lot better if the place wasn’t filled with cigarette smoke - the smell of cigarettes and weed was so strong in the room it woke me up, I’m an ex smoker myself so don’t have an issue with smoke, but it was so strong and there weren’t any windows to open to air it out - plus there was a guy in one of the rooms just shouting all night. Appreciate it’s a cheap option, which the room reflects that but the smoke was too much "

"St Kilda East Backpackers. We walked in, not one to book us in, not that that mattered, we couldn't stay there. smelt like dead rats, worse than if you pictured a hovel. We rang the owner, and Wotif rang the owner. Both responses were if people want a clean place to stay, they should go somewhere else. I would be very surprised if Wotif allow this hostel to book through them ever again."

"Great hostel. Walking distance to the beach(15min walk). Close to the supermarket so you no need to walk so far after buying your groceries. Just outside a tram stop. Remember to bring your own utensils and a lighter as there were time there was only one spoon or fork or there was no lighter to start the stove. Other than that it was a pleasant and enjoyable stay"

"We LOVED this property. The pool / lounge area is extraordinary - the pictures don't come close to doing it justice. My kids and I stayed here for 6 nights; the staff is meticulously trained and welcoming. Stevie the concierge was very helpful. Had a few issues with our mini-fridge and maintenance took care of it immediately. Customer service was 10/10 in every element of the word and with every interaction we had. The location is central and really convenient. The gym is the most well-equipped hotel gym I've ever used (and I was a personal trainer for 10 years, so I have high standards for gyms) --- incredible gym. The hotel lobby was comfortable and great to hang out in. "
