Stayed here many times check in always quick and despite not arriving until reception was shut on this trip access to my key and room both made seamless before I even arrived, older style motel but rooms are always clean and love having one of the many rooms here with spas

Very dated but clean and comfortable and surprisingly very little noise given how close it is to the freeway. Convenient for shops and restaurants. Fine for a transit trip, but wouldn’t want to stay there for too long.

The rooms are in need of a make over. The area is very handy to freeway, the shopping area is so handy plenty of places to eat. We did like staying there very close to all our family. And l would stay there again.

It was sad that there was no dining and that the pool was closed. However it is what we paid for; a budget hotel. The young guy at reception was excellent. He was friendly, helpful and had a lot of local knowledge. The shower in our room was also excellent, bed comfortable.

Hotel Bruce does not purport to be a five-star luxury hotel and it isn't. It is a tired old hotel that is functional and comfortable. Located just off the highway it is very quiet. The rooms are tidy and some what clean. The bed was comfortable and the sheets seemed clean. Check-in was very easy. If you need a cheap place to stay in the south east of Melbourne then this hotel is very suitable.

Room was clean and the bed slightly saggy. Some of the lights needed new globes. No microwave in room. The pool was unavailable and needs extensive work. Gardens need maintenance. Good for very short stays. Close to Mount Waverley Private Hospital and some specialists. Close to Monash Freeway. Shopping Centre, pharmacy and a large variety of Dining shops across the road.

Just OK stay, would have liked be more positive!

Positives: Late check-in was fine. The hotel is on a main road but room was very quiet. It was clean and bacically furnished. Bed reasonably comfortable but with only two pillows, no choices. Negatives: TV did not work. Room was OK for a short stay, but basically the whole place needs a facelift. I remember when this hotel was new, it was lovely. Pool and restaurant now not available either.

Not Nice

This hotel is definitely not 4 star as advertised. The carpets in our suite were worn out, stained and quite disgusting! The fridge had something like meat blood frozen in the tray under the freezer and running down the back of the inside wall. Gardens were full of weeds and unkept. Pool was so dirty we couldn’t see the bottom. Staff were friendly and changed the fridge for us. We booked for 4 nights and we’re extremely disappointed!
