Very large clean apartment. Perfect for romantic getaway.
The only negative is if you are over 70 or disabled, getting into the bath/shower with its huge step up is really dangerous and especially risky when wet. So be aware.
Was lovely- well equiped, clean. Large confirtable beds. Good check in procedure and communication.

Great room, only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is that there’s building works and the gym wasn’t operational which wasn’t displayed on the Expedia booking site. But it might explain why I paid less. Other than that the room was lovely, clean and new. They left some sweet treats and coffee pods for the Nespresso machine and had a mini milk in the fridge. The body wash/ shampoo etc smelled great. Lots of little extras made it a comfortable stay.

Pros.
Good location. Close by parking option. Very clean room. Fully decked out kitchenette (not used). Big comfortable bed. Quite during the night (early morning noise from I suspect renovations). Perfect temperature. Modern feel. Good view. Helpful front desk. Plenty of power points.
Cons.
Water comes out of the shower recess and thoroughly wets the bathroom floor.
Plenty of ingredients to make tea or coffee except sugar. There is some device attached to the side of the AC head unit that flashes blue light in the dark (can't be noticed in the light), it was a pain when the lights were off.
The desk/table & solitary chair are very cramped.

Clean, great location bus stop right out front and trams down the road, IGA 2 doors down, walking distance from everything CBD, only downside is aircon is not ducted it is a split system in the living area and we prefer to sleep with the bedroom door closed, my partner did wake up sweating a few nights but we would definitely book here again!

Room was light and spacious and served its purpose.
Location was great, very central.
Apartment had been cleaned but not that thoroughly as someone’s work boots were left in the cupboard, and sweets were dropped under the sofa, visible whilst I was working out.
Tea and coffee were not replaced, and nobody changed our towels or bedding for 8 nights.
Also, nobody mentioned anything about construction works going on in the building when we booked.
On top of this the gym facilities are not available.
Fire alarms are a big issue and go off regularly, so much so, people don’t even bother to evacuate.
On 28/12/25, a fire alarm went off at 1:00am and continued for approximately 5 minutes. It was incredibly loud and quite shocking in volume and intensity and we were quite disoriented being in a strange place. It informed us to evacuate immediately so we got dressed quickly and left the apartment and stumbled half asleep down seventeen floors with the siren blaring in our ears, exiting the building in the back alley and then making our way to the street outside the building. The fire brigade gave the all clear after 5 minutes and we returned inside, where there was no one at the front desk initially but they did return whilst we were waiting for the lift. We asked if it was safe to return and we were told it was a false alarm and everything was fine.
To add insult to injury, this reoccurred at 5:30am on the same night.
And on 01/01/26 at 5:50pm, we had a repeat performance again.

The rooms were very spacious. Very clean. Only thing i can rate against this room was , there was no lock on the bathroom door, and dishwasher didnt work. Thats the only bad things about it. It was the pefect location. In the city, but out of the hustle of it all. China town in a 5 minute walk. Victoria markets around 15min walk. Right next door is IGA supermarket and bottle shop. The staff at Nolo are fantastic, Very warm and welcoming right from when we got there untill the minute we left. Always friendly. We had room 701. Mostly everything is new in there. Great view of the street from the balcony. Perfect spot really for a weekend getaway. Great for singles, couples and familes.

The location and price of the Oaks Melbourne was excellent. They offer their own parking and there is parking options nearby as well. The staff were lovely and my partner and I had a great experience.
There were a few small negatives that I will mention, there was a small amount of black mould in the bathroom silicone. The other things was that there was no stock of anything in the cupboards, by this I mean no spare blankets, no extra rolls of toilet paper, no plug for the bath or bathroom sink for shaving. It just felt like things were missing. In saying this we did not reach out to reception for any of these items as we were not too bothered by it, I imagine reception would have been happy to provide what we felt was missing.
Overall we had a good stay.

Staff were lovely, location is excellent. The hand and body wash wasn’t filled before our arrival so that was disappointing. Also would have been nice to have an extra pillow and blanket incase. Loved having a kitchen and IGA is next door (or 2 doors down I can’t remember exactly) so very convenient. Washer and dryer was also very convenient. Overall we loved our stay here and will definitely stay there again in the future.

Everything was great.. Except parking was a hefty $45 per night and almost impossible to get out of the carpark, very tight spaces and single lane making it quite dangerous.
