"Bellflower Cottage was perfect for a NYE weekend getaway - very warm (we had to turn the heating down!), clean, well equipped (although we had to ask for loo roll and dishwasher tabs), beautifully decorated and so peaceful. The quintessential English country cottage! Gorgeous walks from the door and lovely outside space (which only the dog took advantage of as the weather was so wet!) "An amazing property in an amazing location. Set in the middle of farmland this Sussex Timber Framed House is truly unique. The whole history of the land and property are documented from 1245 both in book form and on the walls of the entrance porch. Filled with original beams and woodwork, inglenook fireplaces and furnished to compliment the age of the building but with modern day living taken into account. An amazing bedroom with vaulted ceiling and modern en-suite bathroom. A lovely kitchen...

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Bothy is very smart and well appointed. We couldn't find any manual with explanations about how things worked etc but we largely managed to sort them out. The area is well provided for in terms of National Trust properties and the nearest pub (The Hare) is worth a visit for good food."
