"Great for taking a break a break from the park. The rooms need some updates. Not as well staffed and clean as in the past."

Cedar Point's Castaway Bay

"Water park hours were not good. Didn’t open until 10 and closed at 8pm. Rooms were never serviced and we were there 4 nights. Had to ask multiple times for clean towels. Room trash was overflowing. Water park was short staffed on the weekend and multiple attractions were closed. Hotel cafe had one person working. Waited 20 minutes for a premade breakfast sandwich."

Avalon Inn

"No locks on the first-floor sliding windows, the connecting doors were barely secure, and the main hallway door opened an inch even when locked. Additionally, the toilet had zero water pressure and took five minutes to flush each time. The only upsides were that it is close to Cedar Point, and we saw a baby seagull in the parking lot."

"Tbh I wouldn't ever stay here again. The room was very very small for 250 a night, the comforter had a few small stains on it, the actual pillow had a red stain on it. The bathroom I had to turn sideways to use the toilet I'm 6'2. The sink was for ants very small and water splashed out when u would use it and the faucet wasn't installed properly so it would move around. The shower was gross and the floors oh God the floors were like they were never mopped. Hopped out of the shower and my feet were so dirty from the floor."

Cedar Point's Express Hotel

"We always stay here when visiting Cedar Point, which we do several times a summer. Helpful tips: -There are a lot of kids here, the hotel caters to families. Keep that in mind if kids annoy you. -There is no free coffee or breakfast, but you can buy stuff in the lobby gift shop or go to McDonald’s across the street. -The hotel is now cashless so they won’t be able to make change for you at the front desk if you want to leave a tip for housekeeping, for example. Overall, it’s well maintained, about the same quality as, say, a Holiday Inn and very convenient to both the park and a few local restaurants."

10/10 Excellent

"The hotel is family owned and operated. They are all very helpful very kind and very, very attentive to their guest. We have stayed here multiple times and every time we really enjoy being their guests as last time it was bike week so it was a little bit louder than normal, but all in all still a great place to stay very well located and the other times that we’ve stayed there. It was very quiet. We will continue to stay here anytime we are in Sandusky. We recommend a place to all of our friends."
