Huntingdon Hotel and Suites

"The property is lovely, very elegant and charming. Check in was fine, no surprises. We were able to add inside parking after picking up a vehicle. Our room was okay, missing a shower curtain at first but we finally got one the next day. As for it being a Superior Suite, well that's debatable, there was only one couch to sit on, the area was very small, no space to walk around, the channel listing for the TV didn't match with what we were finding, the Nespresso was busted but worked so they didn't replace it. The 15 stairs up to the loft bed got to be a lot after awhile (especially during the night if you needed the washroom), we are seniors so at the end of a long day it felt like a hike. We never used the stove but did make use of the fridge and microwave (which is up so high I couldn't get hot things out of it) We didn't make use of the additional services available other than the Breakfast Buffet. The food at the buffet is great lots of selection, would have been nice if it got switched up a bit more but there was lots to choose from. The beds were fantastic, king size and very, very comfortable. We didn't always make use of housekeeping but did notice the toilet didn't get well cleaned (under the seat) when we did. Housekeeping was very polite and respectful. The harbour is under construction so no view. All in all it's a lovely hotel, a bit over stated tho. We probably won't stay there again due to their location, they are at the end of the harbour."

"What a beautiful experience at Villa Eyrie. From the moment I arrived, everything felt peaceful, elegant, and thoughtfully done. The setting is absolutely stunning, with incredible views and such a calm, relaxing atmosphere. After a full day at a conference, it was the perfect place to unwind. I treated myself to a spa treatment, enjoyed some quiet time in my room, and truly appreciated having such a beautiful space to relax and recharge. The property itself is gorgeous, the surroundings are spectacular, and the whole experience felt like a little escape without having to travel far from home. I would absolutely stay at Villa Eyrie again and would highly recommend it for a peaceful getaway, special occasion, or simply a chance to slow down and enjoy a beautiful part of Vancouver Island. A truly lovely stay. ❤️"

"This is a clean comfortable ideally located hotel in a safe area.The buffet breakfast is delicious and varied. You can walk anywhere in downtown Victoria in 10 to 20 minutes. The Legislature Building, the Royal BC museum, the harbour, The Empress Hotel are a few minutes away and such a pleasing view!! Chinatown is about 20 minutes away. Lots of shops and restaurants in the downtown. Fisherman's Wharf is a 15 minute walk with it's colourful floating homes and multiple restaurants. And a 15 minute walk down Menzies St to the seawall walkway along Dallas Road and a stroll on the Ogden Point Breakwater is a must. James Bay offers so much to do and Embassy Inn is accessible to all of it. Good value too! Would stay again!"
