Best Western Plus Carlton Plaza Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"This was my first time staying here and was impressed. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was very walkable. Being downtown there is traffic noise, so light sleepers might not sleep well, but they also left ear plugs by the bed. The valet service for parking was very smooth and never had to wait long for the car!"

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Victoria

"Nice hotel, waking distance from main attractions, and restaurants. There is a nightly parking fee but there is no self-parking. Valet parking is required. However, the attendents were all very friendly and helpful. And there was no pressure to tip although tipping is accepted. If you are a Starbucks fan you will be happy there is a Starbucks adjacent to the lobby. If you are not fond of the aroma of coffee you will be, none the less, surounded by it everywhere in the hotel lobby. Room was very nice but the bathroom was cramped. Overall, though very nice."

"The staff was wonderfully helpful, the location was very convenient and centrally located, and there is a restaurant on the 18th floor for breakfast and any other meals. The hotel is rather dated, though. The price point was comparable to other, more attractive hotels in the downtown sector, so I was surprised at how tired the decor was on the inside. But the beds were comfortable."
