Some sights seen hiking along the Bruce Trail. The trail follows the edge of the Niagara Escarpment, one of the thirteen UNESCO World Biosphere Reserves in Canada, for almost 900 km (560 mi). The land the trail traverses is owned by the Government of Ontario, private landowners and the Bruce Trail Conservancy (BTC).

The name of the trail is linked to the Bruce Peninsula and Bruce County which the trail runs through. The trail is named after Bruce County which was named after James Bruce, 8th Earl of Elgin who was Governor General of the Province of Canada from 1847 to 1854.

"DO NOT BOOK THIS! The host scammed us out of our money and we were not able to even stay. We never received check in instructions and he took the queen bed and offered my wife and I to stay on a random twin bed in a room that was obviously lived in while the guy that was sleeping in this bed caught an uber out front. "

"Our experience at this rental was not what we expected based on the listing. Upon arrival, the house was freezing—only 13 degrees—and took a long time to warm up. Basic essentials were lacking; there was insufficient toilet paper for the number of guests and bathrooms, and no paper towels or clean cleaning cloths were provided. Dish soap was also missing, making it difficult to clean up after meals. Cleanliness was another major concern. There was leftover food in both the fridge and freezer,...

Very attentive hosts for a great 4-day stay

"Hosts very attentive to detail whether local restaurants, instructions or breakfast times/choices. Janet prepared bag lunches when needed to leave by 6:00 a.m. Beautiful, large bathroom, with only negative that it was shared with 3 rooms. However, only once was it busy for a few minutes when I wanted access. There was a small refrigerator/freeze available for guests. Breakfast items were very wholesome and of good quality with a variety of fruit, protein and carbs."
