"Great value for the money, incredible location in the middle of everything, only a few blocks to the Quartier des spectacles, St-Laurent ("the Main") and walking distance to Old Montreal. Rooms are basic but adequate. However, check-in took over 30 minutes as several other guests in line had issues with their reservations. "Charming old stone storybook house, sweet and friendly proprietors. It has the feel of a youth hostel, with a little outside garden, piano, shared bath and kitchen access. You get to old town via a walk and metro ride, and it's just fine if you are not in a rush. The vieux neigborhood surrounding the 'refuge' is interesting and there's a walking path nearby where you can see all the people who live here walking their dogs and so on....delightful!"
