Just a short drive from the charming Cité du Train railway museum, this Alsatian village offers easy access to the region's cultural treasures. Spend your mornings exploring the National Automobile Museum before heading to the natural beauty of the nearby Botanical & Zoo park in the afternoon.
This hotel was small but perfect! It was pristine with great amenities; restraint served authentic local cuisine, every recommended dish I tried d was delicious. Location had cute cafes around and hotel was directly across from an art studio which was a pleasant surprise and added bonus. -Sylvia

We stayed here for a quick stop in Mulhouse. The setup is very simple and minimal, which was perfect for what we needed. For the price, it’s really hard to beat. The staff was also very welcoming!

When I booked this three star hotel, I was expecting a three star hotel. Turned out to be much better than many four stars or even some five stars where previously stayed. The criteria for stars appears to be the additional facilities the hotel has, swimming pool, spa, etc. This hotel has what really matters, comfortable rooms, quiet, well located, convenient self-parking.

Hotel Spalentor offers a wonderful, well run place to stay in a perfect location for access to the old town or to get to the train station. Old school kind of place wheree they give you a physical key for your room but everything is clean as a whistle.

The hotel was very nice, located in central Basel. The only downside was that it, apparently like other recently renovated hotels, did not have air conditioning (and it was unseasonably hot in Basel.

We scheduled an extra day to spend some time in the area. We were able to use the free local bus system that stopped right across the street from the hotel.

We stayed at the Steinenschanze Stadthotel the day before we took a Rhine river cruise. The receptionist gave us good instructions on how to use the free transit pass to get back to the hotel after we returned our rental car at the airport, which saved us a taxi fare. The receptionist also recommended a good Swiss restaurant within a 10 minutes walk for dinner, and gave us good directions on using the free transit pass to visit the Basel zoo. The most efficient use of space ever in a hotel room. U.S. hotels should learn from these guys. Best bathtub...narrow and deep, perfect for soaking after a hard day of travel. Very clean, modern and welcoming room. Two entrances into bathroom, perfect if spouse sleeps in and you get up early. Very well appointed room. The staff was incredibly helpful as well. Had problems logging into website and the desk clerk came up personally to our room to help. Just an incredible experience for a...
