"As a tennis enthusiast, the New Yorker is an ideal location as the LIRR stops at Penn Station which is literally across the street from the hotel. Imagine returning from a match in the wee hours of the morning and not have to be concerned about safety as a solo traveler Rates changed significantly towards the weekend so I chose a different hotel for my last night, but overall the experience was good"

"This is a very busy hotel located right in the heart of Times Square, so expect it to be lively! We did have an issue our first night with the AC not working. They provided us with two fans, but it was still pretty hot, especially being there at the end of August. However, the staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. They brought us plenty of complimentary waters and even cookies, and they also gave us half off our first night. Overall, they really redeemed themselves with how they handled the situation. Things don’t always go perfectly, but I really appreciated how the staff went above and beyond to make it right!"

"Hotel is a great bang for your buck. Staff was kind throughout and held my bags before the morning of my checking until the room was ready. Rooms are very small and do not contain a private bathroom, but the hotel makes that clear up front and did a good job keeping the shared bathrooms clean and well stocked. Hotel is in a good location (only a minute walk to the waterfront and 5-10 minute walk to the subway). Would recommend for anyone planning on exploring the city and spending most of their time outside the hotel."
