Top Municipality of Eemnes Hotel Reviews

NYX Hotel Amsterdam Rembrandt Square

8/10 Good

"The hotel gives off cool vibes, cool lobby and lounge. The check-in process is pretty straightforward and the staff are helpful and friendly. Upon check-in, we had an immediate concern with our room and the desk clerk was quick to help us out and find a more suitable room to our liking, saving us the hassle of switching rooms later or complaining. The hotel staff overall seemed to care that we were comfortable and enjoying our stay, this was the case is many places in Amsterdam. The neighbourhood is cool with lots of nightlife that stays out quite late most nights and lots of good dining options and activities in the district nearby. Amsterdam is very walkable and nothing is too far if you don’t mind walking a bit, otherwise the tram lines outside the hotel are a quick way to go farther."

"Very modern clean space, Helpful staff. Wonderful restaurant with excellent service. The room was very tight though for three people with one person having to climb a ladder to get to bed. No sitting space within the room except on your bed. So the lobby became our hang out space , which was comfortable and had many charging ports. In very cold weather we took an uber to the ferry which was an easy five minute crossing."

"We stayed three nights. The hotel is about one Kilometer from the Central Station. Easy walking to ground transportation. Food options in the hotel were limited and not great value for money. The room was a good size, comfortable and well maintained. Housekeeping was provided everyday. The room provided everything we needed. On top of hotel rate we paid a 100 Euro City tax as well."

Kimpton De Witt Amsterdam by IHG

10/10 Excellent

"We were very impressed with the hotel and would return on another trip. The location is perfect. An easy walk from the Central train station and is in the centre of Amsterdam city area. Staff were excellent, the on site part is award winning, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. One note: If you have anything to speak with the hotel about before your stay, please contact them directly and not through Expedia. We were arriving early in the morning, so booked a room for the prior night. I discussed this via Expedia with the hotel, but we were initially marked as no-shows in error. The hotel front desk was able to correct this, but it slightly extended how long it took to check-in."

Ruby Emma Hotel Amsterdam By IHG

8/10 Good

"The property has some issues which are we were told IHG policy. For example there is no way to communicate with the front desk as there is no phone in the room. Therefore in case of emergency ' one could get ill ' and have no way to communicate. When we asked the question in this regard the person on duty stated if you get sick there is nothing to be done. This is Company policy. RIDIULOUS ! Another example we needed some additional towels. The only way to get these I had to take the elevator to the lobby and ask. This is true for any request. Most of the staff was very helpful, however as an example: We stayed for 6 nights. One day we arrived back at the hotel at 3:00 PM to find the room had not been cleaned. I went to the down from the 10th floor to ask for cleaning. The person on duty stated ' we have many persons checking in today so we prepare these rooms before guests' rooms. You will have to wait. No compassion ! Not even a response such as ' let me see what we can do to expedite your request."
