"Everything was perfect. We were met at a piazza near the apartment by Isabella and escorted to the property. She helped us bring our luggage up the stairs and showed us how everything worked. A bottle of wine was waiting for us. Everything was very clean and the layout was great. The apartment is very spacious and suited our needs. The apartment is located near the wall that encircles the city center and it was delightful to stroll along the top of the wall in the evening. It is also close to coffee and wine bars and especially, great restaurants. Gianluca is a wonderful host and did everything to make our stay an exceptional experience. We had planned to stay at Apartment Via Fillungo several years ago but we had to cancel because of Covid. We are so pleased to finally come to Lucca and stay with Gianluca."

"We left the train station in Lucca, put in the address of La Luna and had a wonderful short walk, less than a mile into the town of Lucca and to the Hotel La Luna. We were greeted by hotel staff who quickly got us into our rooms, two couples-two rooms. The rooms were nice and would be considered average. The highlight of the hotel is the morning breakfast (included in the fee), an attached bar and lounge and directly across the street, about 60 feet, a very nice restaurant. Please note that if you have difficulty with stairs, it seems all the rooms were above the main floor and carrying suit cases or walkers could be a problem. The hotel is in the center of town and is very accessible to everything Lucca has to offer. We did find our room was overlooking the restaurant and trying to get to sleep before the restaurant was closed created some difficulty. If we stay there again, we would ask for a room away from the street. "

"Our stay at this amazing apartment in the historic district of Lucca was perfect! The apartment was homey & close to restaurants & shops in Lucca. The hosts were very accommodating, especially since we arrived later than expected. They were gracious in answering cultural questions throughout our stay. The best part was knowing that our grandfather had lived in the building prior to immigrating to the US over 100 years ago. If we're ever back in Lucca, we'll be sure to rebook. Grazie! "
