Very friendly and helpful staff, better English than I expected. More or less traditional ryokan, with tatami floors. The room is spacious during the day when the futons are rolled up (the staff does that for you), and the futons are very comfortable to sleep on. This was a very nice experience for me and my family. The hotel itself is very nice, but the best part is the service provided by the staff. Extremely courteous and they provided for all our requests. It's in a very nice location with 9 onsens (hot spings) within walking distance. As long as you stay in a hotel in town, you get a free key to access all of them. The hotel provides you with a Onsen outfit that we found very fun to walk around in (like a kimono with jacket and wooden sandels)....

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Room was excellent with an amazing Mountain View. Full amenities and top notch service. Staff goes above and beyond and are personable and friendly, even as English speaking tourists. The breakfast was delicious and a perfect mix of made to order hot dishes along with a large spread of buffet items. The best hotel in Hakuba if you want a luxurious and relaxing experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at this family run ryokan. Staff was friendly and helpful and the room was spacious and clean. Food was excellent and had a very warm, home cooked meal vibe. Access to town was good and easy and skiing conditions were top notch!

Beautiful surroundings, and right next to the path that leads to the monkey park. We very much enjoyed the kaiseki dinner and Japanese breakfast. They were happy to explain what everything was and how to eat it, since a number of the dishes were unfamiliar to us (in particular with the breakfast). I just loved loved loved loved loved staying here — the owners are wonderful. Extremely hospitable and helpful. It has a local Japanese vibe that you don’t get in some places The rooms were super comfortable and well heated, breakfast was yummy. Thank you for the warm hospitality

Such a great cottage that had everything we needed. Super clean, warm, walking distance to the ticket booths for Iwatake and Hakuba Brew Pub! So much room and comfort. Bathroom was great, the kitchen super clean and had everything we needed. Next time we'll load up the little fridge and not have to rely on going out for dinner so much. The cabins are so nice inside. All light wood paneled and not your typical Japanese insulation; they stayed warm the whole day and night! We will be coming back...

An unforgettable experience with my son who is 9 we enjoyed the private onsen with 2 separate baths we bathed under the stars which was perfect. The staff was incredibly accommodating attentive and so SWEET , the Japanese chocolate covered pecans are dreamy definitely grab a box or 2!

Located on the Onsen road, with access to two public baths outside of the hotel, two very well equipped Onsen within the hotel, and the option to reserve a private Onsen as well. Not listed on when booking, but the hotel picked us up from the train station, as well as runs a free shuttle once every morning (940am) to the monkey park. Really nice place. You get access to the 9 onsen nearby and the town is cute and quiet. Definitely opt in for meals, they are AMAZING.

The front desk agents were super kind and helpful. They both spoke English. We needed that. Bountiful and delicious dinner and breakfast buffets were included. Our room was amazingly well appointed and large. The king bed was beyond adequate. It was two full sized beds bound together. We hope to return to this property some day.

La Neige is a great hotel, the staff is perfect, I want to come back, the premises are beautiful, so elegant, and at a good price, there’s no onsen, but no problem, there are options a few minutes away, and the hotel have an excellent transportation service. I definitely want to come back. 5 stars
