The hotel is like most of the APA hotels, except it has a sento (public bath) for the guests so I think that's a nice bonus. "I arrived at Kyoto Station at 6am, so I walked to the hotel. It took only 3-4 minutes from the station. The person (young lady) at front desk was not that friendly but was professional. They kindly hold my luggage until the check-in time. The room was compact but well designed, so the room size was good enough for one person.
