"This place is absolutely incredible! First of all it’s beautiful, calm, and relaxing. It’s in a great location and an easy walk to cute shops and restaurants and marketplaces. The bus system is very fast, convenient and the trains and the train stations are much easier to understand than Shinjuku! You can definitely use this as a nice base to go deeper into Kyoto, where all the Matcha shops are and over to the Fushimi Inari Temple. The floor beneath the lobby has a beautiful spa- like bath and the hot water was amazing after walking 25,000 steps a day! The rooms are much bigger than others we found in Tokyo and the beds are super comfy. We definitely recommend this place and would definitely stay here again."

"The hotel location was perfect since it’s less than a 5 min walk from Kyoto’s main train station. The breakfast was wonderful with a perfect blend of traditional Japanese cuisine and American options. The milk bread is absolutely delicious! Our double room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. My only complaint is that the window faced extremely bright stairway lights that were on all night. The curtains didn’t block out the light on the sides which was right where our head lay on the bed. Aside from that the room and hotel was great. "
