"We stayed 3 nights in the Sagitarrius cottage and we loved it! It was everything we hoped for — a private cottage with lounge chairs, a hammock, a patio, a private outdoor shower with amazing ocean views. You can even see Rick’s Cafe from there. One thing to note: the cottage shares a wall with the restaurant, but it didn’t bother us since the restaurant closes at 10 pm and everything is quiet thereafter. The lounging area is great, with comfortable sun chairs, parasols, and small beautiful stairs and pathways along the cliff — and the sunsets are incredible. The amenities were well maintained. We also tried the restaurant (Ivans) and bar for lunch and dinner; the food was delicious and dining with that view was a highlight. The reception staff was very helpful and booked our reservation at other restaurant. The included shuttle from the restaurant was also appreciated, especially since there’s no sidewalk along the road. You can swim in the ocean, though it depends on the conditions. We were happy to jump in and use the ladder since there’s no beach access. The pool was also available. We would definitely stay again! "

"We stayed 5 nights in a cute single cottage. We’re a couple in our 30s, and most guests were a mix of friendly retirees and families, many of them regulars who come back every year and we understand why! We loved it — the cottage was colorful, comfortable, and had a nice patio. The property itself is beautiful, with plants everywhere, and the complimentary breakfast is just as delicious as other reviews mention. The place is small enough that it never feels crowded, and there are always enough lounge chairs and space for everyone. There’s also a grocery store conveniently located right across the street. We would definitely stay again!"

"The Hotel Riu Negril was an amazing family vacation experience!! The hotel wasn't overcrowded, as some resorts can be. The food was phenomenal!! The pools and beach areas were clean. The entertainment staff worked long hours and earned for me high marks. Overall, I loved staying at the Hotel Riu Negril. I didn't know the distinction at the time until arriving in customs, but I was staying at the Hotel Riu Negril "Club". There is a separate "Palance" resort. However, I liked very much the Club resort, as it was recently renovated. Great experience!"

"If you want pure relaxation this is your place! The grounds are spotless, Lynford does an amazing job!The staff truly goes out of there way to make you feel welcomed! Erica always kept our room spotless and left the cutest towel arrangements! Claudette always serving our breakfast with a smile. Make sure you see Brittany,Kirk,Cash, Gerald,Odine and Shirleen! They are wonderful bartenders and know how to make a drink! Brittany's saying goes, More Rum more Fun ! Tamika was our server for the evening dinner, she is so bubbly, definitely service with a smile.The beach was beautiful and you never have to worry about getting a lounge chair! Bianka and Amanda were extremely helpful at the front desk during our stay! Lynette in the gift shop will remember your name the first time you meet,she is an amazing woman! Will definitely book again. "
