"Pretty property but the check-in procedure could have been better signed. The staff who greeted us, although polite and, I am sure, followed procedures, made my request of two twins rather than a king for my mother and myself seem like a huge request. They did accommodate the request but I feel he was borderline rude, as I felt embarrassed and defensive over a simple request. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Bathrooms too. I did have concerns that one of the treads on the stairs might be broken as it rolled under ones foot so I was a bit concerned about my 88 y. o. mother but she navigated them carefully and was fine. We did not eat at the castle. We ventured into Fort William and had a lovely meal at The Geographer. For breakfast we ate at newly opened place, which was really yummy, called Highland Basecamp Bistro."

"Neal is a very gracious host, very helpful and knowledgeable about the local area and history. Home is clean, comfortable, and quiet, breakfast is excellent. Be aware that some rooms have a shared bathroom depending on which you choose. The gift shop in Spean Bridge is one of the best we saw in Scotland."

"Rooms are very basic but clean and modern in facilities. WiFi and reception is appealing but understandable considering the stunning mountains all round the hotel. Perfect location for either fort William or for a pit stop to north Scotland Only down was an annoying green light that’s in most of the rooms we’ve stayed in. Get it’s maybe to point to the way out in a fire but it lights up the rooms like a firework at night, not very restful! Beds comfy however and would still recommend"

"We enjoyed our stay at the Shepards Rest. Its a fun little adventure to get to the property that involves a single lane tunnel. So I suggest not making the mistake and arriving at night. The property is beautiful. Its listed as 1 bath, but it actually has 2 which was a pleasant surprise. I thought there was a washer AND dryer, but its just a washer and some clips that I believe means theres a drying rack but definitely no dryer. Spacious place, would definitely return. Beautiful outdoor surrounding and views of Ben Nevis to wake up to."

"We had a wonderful stay The Logs. The house was the perfect size for our dream of bringing all of our family together to celebrate our wedding in Glencoe. The house is really spacious so you don't feel on top of one another and its really peaceful with wonderful views. The house is well equipped and feels lived in in the best way possible."
