"We always choose the Vermont when visiting Newcastle it is in a perfect location and the staff are great. The hotel is having an upgrade staring in the top floor working down which will be great as the rooms are currently quite dated but still nice, everything you need and a decent size. "

"Pros: Great buffet breakfast, exceeding expectations! Good location (right opposite train station), massive windows with views of the city. Shower pressure and cleanliness was great too. Cons: bed bases need sorted. It’s basically a piece of plywood which makes the most annoying noise when you do as much as breathe. Mattress was comfortable enough. We were on the top floor and noise in the corridor wasn’t much of an issue as it seemed to be quiet, but expect to hear anybody walking past as if they were in the room. "

"Only a 10 min walk from the train station. Easy to find. Good sized rooms and clean. Bed a bit small, soft and sunk to the middle but fine for one night. Great breakfast."
