"Stunning property in a newly restored old house. Beautiful, spacious and well-appointed room. The common areas were comfortable and there was a lovely balcony. The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. Can’t recommend highly enough. "
"This was an incredible property right in the heart of Crete. The staff went above and beyond to help us, from arranging taxis to the port and airport to recommending fantastic local spots to eat. A big thank you to Giannis and Michail for their outstanding hospitality — their kindness and support truly made our stay unforgettable."
"This was a truly outstanding place to stay in Heraklion. The location was perfect, the staff are amazing and the rooms are upscale. Everything was perfect, would definitely stay here again and recommend this place, 10/10! "
"the hotel and facilities are great but i wouldnt describe the area exactly as tourist friendly. If you have your own transportation its a great location as it isnt far from the airport"

AGRIELIA VILLA FAMILY - FRIENDLY VILLA IN HERAKLION CRETE
10/10 Excellent
"A very quiet and peaceful stay. Villa is located 20 mins inland from the airport. You need a car to access as its located in a small village at the top of a very steep hill. However acces is simple, one long very well yarmaced road. The villa is very well restored in traditional stone and restored to a high level. Air con is in all bedrooms, but not downstairs in the living room /dinner or kitchen. But because it’s solid stone downstairs, it’s always cool. The outlook to the rear is tranquil and the view is of the surrounding countryside The villa is not overlooked and private. The host - Stelios is a friendly nice guy. He met us on arrival and provided water, eggs and wine FOC for our first night. He only came agin when the cleaners came to change the beelined, towels and clean around. He is always available via WhatsApp if requiredOverall a very pleaaant ans relaxing stay - but having a car is a must"
"Fantastic property and friendly staff. We had paid the half board with breakfasts and dinners. The food was beyond expectations. It was fresh and delicious. Thank you!"

"Our host Aristeides and his wife were terrific. Very helpful and provided good suggestions. The villa was truly spectacular, better than expected. Very clean and good location. A five minute walk is a small market and also a very friendly restaurant. The Greek food was delicious. We went back on our final night to have some wine, beer and stuffed grape leaves. "
