Such an easy check in / check out experience and such a lovely and conscientiously maintained facility. It was so so so so so lovely and I would totally stay here again. Also the cake was really good- they give you cake in your room!!!

We stayed in Room 1. It was spotless and spacious with tea and coffee and bottled water. The staff were very nice and the breakfast was outstanding with a good selection of hot and cold options including full and small English to healthy vegetarian options. We chose The Ship Inn because of its location within walking distance to the beach and the ability to easily get on walking trails. Lovely helpful and accommodating host. Room and Breakfast were Excellent.

It felt like home. A short walk to the bus depot gave me access to all surrounding sites, or an easy 25 minute walk to city centre. Tea and coffee, juice and bread on hand. Two friendly dogs that were all talk at first became friends during the first encounter.

Perfect for a couple a night or weekend- awesome food and pub - like living history!

This was my second stay. Friendly, helpful staff, good roast in the restaurant. We had a nice room which was an upgrade as the hotel wasn't very busy so that was a welcome surprise. I'm sure we will return as we enjoy Norfolk and this is a good base to explore further.

Excellent village pub with great staff and atmosphere that matches its surroundings and in keeping with good old inn values. The chef provides a great variety of flavors and quality dishes all served hot and on hot plates. The stairs are somewhat challenging for the elderly and mobility impaired. I didn’t realize when booking that I could have requested a ground floor room. My bad - should have read the small print. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

I enjoyed everything about my stay. Excellent room, good facilities, very friendly staff and a delicious (and filling) breakfast. You can’t beat the location. Right in the center of Holt.

This historic structure retrofitted to modern conveniences was a delight! The food and staff were outstanding. Tom was especially accommodating for all our needs and so friendly and professional. If you appreciate history and charm, this is the place to stay!
