I would say not for small children as there are wooden and woven giraffes, lamas, masks etc. that would likely attract attention Good location, easy walk to restaurants. Fells safe. Clean. Plenty of hot water and good pressure. Plenty of books and games. Easy parking. Erin is very responsive.Negatives: mattress a bit soft but that's personal preference. A bit dark. I *believe * windows are covered with film [makes sence, floor level] ...

"If you are not a big baseball fan and would like to have a good night sleep, don’t come here. It is a shabby, barn-like old house. Everything is in the condition of a century years old. The bedroom in the first floor has no windows. The bathroom is at the second floor. The entire time I was in, there’s frequently loud noise from somewhere. I could only sleep for a couple of hours. "

"Such a charming and relaxing property! We admired the location by the fountain and the bricked-in courtyard. There’s a back deck surrounded by dense, colorful foliage with a serene view that makes it seem you’re not even in the city. "

"Comfortable beds, great location, kitchen well stocked. House has stained kitchen chairs and an unpleasant scent. We did not mind the house being old but everyday items need to be replaced. Especially in the bathroom: shower curtain and bath mat."

"We had a wonderful stay in this classic berkeley brown shingle. We could walk to the many restaurants and shops in the gourmet ghetto as well as the Monterey/Hopkins street shops. The house was comfortable and had a well-equipped kitchen. Would definitely stay there again!"
