"I really like the fact that this place was completely unapologetic about being a throwback to an earlier time, keeping its historical feel without being kitschy. All the things that were important were done well without trying equal or outdo most modern hotels that feel they were made with a cookie-cutter. It also has a great little (and very busy!) restaurant downstairs and a small bar. It is clearly appreciated by its traveling clientele but also appears to be a local favorite, and all the employees seemed like a family, appreciating their good fortune to work at a place with such good vibes and character."
