Find Hotel with a Concierge in Northern Madeira

Pestana properties are our 'go to' properties when travelling in Europe. The staff are always super friendly & helpful. Churchill Bay is a lovely authentic fishing village. The hotel has a lovely roof top restaurant. The food was fresh & very well prepared. We stayed 4 nights & dined at the hotel every night. There are many other options but we enjoyed the convenience & birds eye view of the bay's activies at the sunset.

We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Madeira. It had everything our family needed for a comfortable and relaxing trip—from the well-equipped kitchenette and espresso machine to the thoughtful touch of a collapsible drying rack for swimsuits and towels. 2 week stay. 2nd visit. Upgraded to balcony rooms facing the mountains with water view. Never gets tiring.

Amazing property with excellent staff. The room was incredibly efficient, clean, and cozy. Great view of the water. Staff was very friendly and attentive to all of our needs. We would definitely stay there again. It was so lovely!

The small gym was empty both times I went, which was great for me. I never saw anyone swimming in the gorgeous pool, possibly because it’s not very hot this time of year. Staff at reception very helpful. Located extremely close to restaurants and shops. Only thing I didn’t like was breakfast. They have 2 coffee machines that maybe fancy drinks which were great, but the food selection wasn’t appetizing. It was on par with a normal hotel continental breakfast.

Really nice hotel! Felt a little like home away from home. Staff is very friendly and even brought us chocolates made on Madeira. Roof top pool and view is amazing!

This was my second time staying at Cliff bay and it was even more exceptional than the first. The have very low employee turnover so you are remembered which was very nice:-) The food is world class and the accommodations were amazing, I am already planning my next visit!!!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at editory Ocean Way funchal . The rooms were very comfortable, we got a beautiful balcony with Ocean View that was spectacular. The hotel is definitely a five star . Love the bathrobes and the slippers to be able to go to the spa . Luxurious pool towels were provided. And special call out for Andrea, Mikaela and Sophia at the front desk, and Catarina in the restaurant. We prearranged a number of excursions and they helped us with all the arrangements. Great...

We stayed in this hotel for 3 days in mid July. The hotel is wonderfully situated with views of the sea and/or the garden from many rooms and nice facilities. It's a very pretty property with secure parking and a lovely lobby. The old town is a bit far away, if you're walking, but the promenade is just down the hill and you can walk in each direction. While I did love staying in this hotel, there were two drawbacks. This was our least favorite breakfast of our two week stay in Portugal...

It was lovely fine days full of comfort from the always helpful stuff, gorgeous garden to walk and relax in, and a marvelous cliff overlooking the marina and sea of Funchal. The balcony/terrace was south oriented - full of flowers in pots, with a sunshade, table and chairs - lovely place to take a glass in the evening. The only small minus was a bit of possible noise from neighbour's room, but that wasn't a problem, rather just a notice.
